Cause of happiness in %

In an interview with Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi in a hungarian magazine 168 ora says that 50% of the happiness is genetical, 10-15 is the environment and 35-40 is depending how the person organize his/her life.

Notes on the teachings of H.E. GARCHEN RINPOCHE

http://www.drikung.ee/news.html

Friday:

Observe the primordial mind.

Saturday : Comments on the Heart sutra

Mind should be seen only by the mind, mind should look inside, observing how thoughts arise, look at the nature of thougths they are empty and clear, there is no object to grasp, like the clear sky.

Neither existent or non existente this is how the unexpressable ultimate nature of mind can be experienced.

View of perspective view, universal mind, transcendent awareness, release the grasping on conscoiusness to reach empty conscoiusness, the primordial awareness.

Mind is the creator of all this phenomena.

Natural state of mind is like electricity it is used everywhere in different ways, but its essence is still the same.

Realize the empty essence of the mind so when death comes through grasping to the body and self there will be no rebirth.

Transform negative emotions to primordial awareness then they can't harm.

Recognition of the primordial mind is free of ignorance.

Temporary arising of thoughts and emotions thats how samsara manifests.

No grasping and no thoughts then there is no suffering.

Self aware primordial awareness.

Shouldn't be grasping towards primordial awareness.

Grasping and fixation is the problem.

Path of fire, seeing, meditation, accumulation of application, of no return. Tadyata om gate gate paragate parasam gate bodhi svaha.

True meaning of the mantra is to undertand how the negativ emotions can be liberated through transformation to primordial awareness.

Doubt is a great obstacle in this practice.

Alchemy

She grabed me by my hands and took me to a forest. There were huge pine trees. She started to climb up, I followed her. After the middle of the tree, I found a bird sleeping on the branch. I woke it up and it flew away, it was a beautiful bird, it was a fire phoenix. While I was watching the flight she reached the top and there was a nest with a golden egg. - I found the stone of wisdom! - she shouted.

Mousse

Once I heard ladies talking about hand made belgian chocolate that is better then sex. I really doubted it, but I am not really into sweet food, I prefer salty things. Last weekend I tried the following recipe,

http://fozzunkolaszul.blogspot.com/2007/11/gymbres-csokimousse.html

with a little modification of adding lemon to it and I started to understand what the ladies were talking about. Although I am far from that like in the movie Chocolate, when the guy broke into the chocolate shop and ate everything, but I am closer to understand it.

Fusion kitchen continues with Russian Japanese mix. Buckwheat porridge (from Russia) with seaweed, soyameat, asparagus and shitake mushrooms (Japan). The recipe is very simple just make buckwheat porridge (needs twice as much boiling water then the amount of buckwheat) and then add shitake mushrooms, seaweed, soyameat, asparagus. When its ready add some soya sauce and minced ginger and sesame oil.
Enjoy!

Thai-Hungarian Fusion Kitchen

When my friend visited me, while rollin sushi he had an idea to have Japanese-Hungarian fusion sushi. So the sushi would have Hungarian bacon or sausage and would be served with Strong Steve instead of wasabi.
But today I made Thai-Hungarian fusion kitchen, Transylvanian cabbage with Thai curry and roasted peanuts. Basically just make Transylvanian cabbage and instead of chili or paprika use Thai curry powder or sauce and at the end serve it with roasted peanuts.
I know both of the ideas sounds funny, but the second tasted good!

Notes on Buddhist teachings in Oulu by Lama Chödrak, July of 2010

(The teachings were based on Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's Books, http://www.tricycle.com/dharma-talk/the-aim-attention?page=0,0&offer=dharma)

Body speech and mind
How we experience things the mind gives the joy or suffering afterwards.
Embrace the disturbing emotion to become free.
While looking to the emotion helps not to identify with the emotion
Emotions shouldn't be boss or enemy, make them friends, be aware of them, mindfulness, just to get the naked experience.
The mind express as an emotion and its an energy so it can be transformed to a more positive creative way.
The mind decides whether the experience is good or bad / preconception.
For cure the reason has to be recognized.
2 types of suffering exist natural and self-created.
Putting label on something is self-created suffering.
Everything is changing.
What is our true nature?
Emptiness = limitless possibility, void, unlimited possibility to appear and change and disappear

Mind can't be seen. Existing and not existing, both and none, the mind is beyond all of them.
Time is also not solid, it is also changing, time is not real.
Open mind is important, one businessman killed himself after bankruptcy cause his mind become narrow, he hasn't seen any other possibilities, the others mind was more open, he had new plans already.
8 consciousnesses 5 senses have one each, 6 consciousness is labeling, 7 consciousness is "I", 8th is the memory.
Pain meditation, look at the sensation in mind.
Create space don't take the crap from others.

Empathy, has two aspects loving kindness, compassion

Bodhichitta
Starting with own-self.
Immeasurable loving kindness compassion.
Relative bodhichitta, bringing up everybody to enlightenment level

Paramita
1. Generosity (Ghimpa)
2. Discipline
3. Patience
4. Diligance, enthusiasm
5. Meditation, firm mind
6. Wisdom (Jeshi)

Generosity: buddha dharma sangha, sentient beings
Material, protection, dharma
Offering makes the connection and gathers merit
Offerings should be pure
Giving the dharma

Discipline
-keeping away from negative actions

Motivation is the key-factor.

Diligence, commitment with practice, do your duties, respect your own capabilities.

Wisdom, understanding the teachings

Obstacles of manifestation of buddha nature
* Self judgement, belittle oneself, low self esteem
* others are less then you, lack of empathy in other
- extreme of judgement
* seeing the untruth as truth
* seeing the truth as untruth
* myth of me, its all about me
Change them to breakthrough

Become aware of the awareness

Don't work with the strongest emotions, start with smaller one

Look back to the main emotions, what is giving power to the strong emotions.

When focus is lost and disgust arise the practice should be stopped.
When the practice is fantastic then stop too.

After a while the emotion will lift up the awareness, if it is practice, such as anger or loneliness.

Half marathon

I managed to run a half marathon this Saturday. I think panax ginseng would be a good sponsor for me.

http://www.endomondo.com/workouts?w=qgtSK-2JeHU
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts?w=lrJeD4bgcQ0

As you can see my training started too late, cause of the cold weather and wasn't well planned, please don't follow my example! What was surprising that the yoga practice gave a good condition for running.
The first 15km where fine, I kept my mind still and quiet in some kind of meditative state, but then I realized that "Hey, I can do it, let's push the tempooooooo!" and started to run faster and faster. But before you start to think that I am some kind of good runner, I have to tell you that some 60 years old guys and 14 years old girls were passing by faster, this is only how I experienced comparing to myself.
The organization was great, the people were really supportive and created a cheerful attitude, it was a great experience. Respect and big thanks to all the runners, organizers and supporters.

The conclusion is that if I want to go for a whole marathon, I have to train more and not just running, but to keep my mind quiet with meditation, at least for 4 and a half hours, it will be a great challenge for me! This kind of "push the tempooo" thing will not work there.

Mistake

Mistakes, conflicts may happen, the question is how they are handled when they occur, is it possible to learn from them afterwards?

Abisko

I know I am repeating myself, but I feel like a mixed dog, whose father is a wild wolf and whose mother is a husky. I can stand the presence of humans, pull the sledge for them and enjoy the safety what they provide, the food and a warm place to sleep. But when I hear the far howling my heart starts to beat in a different rhythm, I need to go out, I need to explore, I need to go back to the nature, to the wilderness where some of my part belong.
This spring I heard the howling coming from Abisko which is in the north of Sweden.

First day I took the snowshoes and went to the mountain near to Lapporten, it would have been less challenging with crampons and ice axes.

This is how it looked like on the way up.

This was a mountain in the nearby.

and this is the view from the top...

Next day I went on some part of Kungsleden to Karsavaggestugan, which is a small hut 14km far from Abisko.

The weather was beautiful both days, sunshine with a small wind. Both nights we have seen northern-lights. I was wondering what kind beliefs does the Saamis have about them, what is their explanation? Because they look so unbelievable, like some hallucination.
Last day before the train departure I went for a walk on the lake. Although the snowmobiles were driving on it, it was littlebit scary walking on the ice and seeing the dark water and bubbles under it and hearing scratchy sounds. But no swimming that day.

The hostel was excellent with wood heaten sauna and the guests were excellent company and cooks!
The wolf has calmed down and now I am back again pulling the sledge for warm place and food...

Big respect to him!

It came to my mind, if you have dream, work on it, realize it, if you don't just enjoy what is offered.

Preparing

I clean the beams
from the grime,
I swipe the ashes away,
I forget what passed.
I am preparing for the new year.
