Red riding hood
Red riding hood was walking alone in the deep dark forest on her journey to grandma. Suddenly big wolf stepped in front of her and tried to frightened her, but red riding hood kept smiling and relaxed.
That's strange people usually when they see me, they get shocked and frightened, some of them even pissed in their pants from fear. What is happening? This little girl, I can kill her in a second, but she's so calm. I have to find out. - This is what the wolf thought.
- Who are you and where are you going? - shouted the wolf.
- I'm red riding hood, and I'm going to visit my grandma. - she replied kindly.
- From where are you coming? - shouted the wolf again.
- I'm coming from north India. - she replied calmly.
- What do you have in your basket? - shouted the wolf again, but not so loud then before.
- I have a bit of food and some books. - she replied.
- Why aren't you afraid of me? I can kill you easily. - asked the wolf a bit softer then before.
- If my destiny is that I have to feed you then I can't do anything about it, so why worry. - red riding hood replied.
- Aren't you afraid of death? - asked the wolf, with a surprised face.
- No. Each one of us will die and we can't do anything against it. I have learnt and experienced many things which are beyond that. That's why I want to take these books to my grandma, that she can benefit from them. - she replied.
- Is she dying? - asked the wolf with a normal tune.
- She's very sick and old. She might not live for long. - she replied with a bit sad voice.
- Show me those books. - ordered the wolf.
Red riding hood sat down and opened her basket and started to show the books from India to the wolf. The wolf also sat down and opened the first book and it was shining with a golden light, he started to read the book. Many times when the wolf didn't understand something he asked the red riding hood for explanation. After long hours the night was coming, so the wolf asked red riding hood to go to his cave and explain the books and the practices to him. They stayed for 49 days in the cave when the wolf finally understood everything from the books, except the last book.
- What is in the last book? - asked the wolf.
- That book is the Tibetan book of death, it explains the process of dying and helps you to die. This is what I'm going to read to my grandma, when her time will come. Your time hasn't come yet, so let me go to my grandma and after she died, I will return and explain it to you too. - she replied.
- I'm very grateful, for all the explanations and practices already and you can go whenever you please and I would be even more grateful if you explain the last book to me. - bowed the wolf.
- Continue with your practices and I will be back in 3 years and I will explain this book to you too. - replied the red riding hood and left the cave.
The wolf changed his diet from animals to herbs and berries and mushrooms, he lost weight, but his eyes were shining bright. The sheep and cows remained save on the fields so the hunters were not going to search for the wolf anymore and finally the wolf found it's peace in the forest. The years passed by quickly with the new practices and many time the wolf had dreams with red riding hood where she was correcting his practices and giving him further instructions.
But one day when the wolf returned to his cage, the red riding hood was sitting already there.
- I'm back as I promised. - she told to the wolf.
- I'm glad to see you again. What happened to your grandma? - asked the wolf.
- She died like year ago, you live quite far from her, it took me a long walk. I explained the book to her and she died peacefully. Then we prayed for her for 49 days and after that we burned her body and throw her ashes into the mountain river. - she replied.
The wolf was very moved that the red hat walked one year, just to teach him.
After he studied the last book and got a permission to copy them, it took him nearly a year. When the wolf was ready with last book, the red riding hood just packed her basket and asked the wolf:
- I would like to ask you one thing, please if you see anybody who is worth to these teachings please share it. - and then she just left without leaving any trace or footsteps on the ground.
The wolf was so moved again, because he was so surprised that she found him worthy for those teachings. So the wolf was observing the travelers and when he saw somebody who was opened for the teachings, he invited them to his cave.

Without cars
When I was in Brussels, on Sunday no car traffic was allowed in the city. It was amazing, no cars on the streets!!! Fresh air, lots of space! :-)
The city changed completely!
I was wondering, how would affect our lives to have like this most of the time. More bikes, better air, more healthy people. So why isn't it happening?
I understand the need of a car, I just don't understand the everyday usage and the way of it is used, like going to the kitchen by car.
I hope it will change and the world becomes sustainable.

Tour de gastronomique Brussels
My trip to Brussels was a true gastronomical experience, I have to mention the folloowing steps:
Chinese hand made noodles:
Fresh croissant in the morning (Bon jour! De croissant, silvu ple. Merci! Arevoir! Felt like in some french movie, especially with the buildings around.)
Hot chocolate, madagascar 65% with vanilla. http://www.frederic-blondeel.com/en/presentation/
Lebano-syrian restaurant, vegetarian plate with hummus falafel and mint tea, http://www.resto.be/ware/details.jsp?businessid=71580
Cheese
Belgian beer
M'semmen from morocco, with olives, feta cheese and honey.
I have to mention Sari's creations also, paprikas krumpli, garlic soup, pizza, minestrone.
I really loved the style of the city and the style of the people. I think this is the best word to describe it: style.
The atmosphere of the market at friday evening was relaxed, people eating small portion of food, cheese, olives, fish with wine and just sitting outside.
Boulder club was also a great experience! http://www.newtoprock.com/
Big thanks to my friends for hospitality!

Fishing without a rod
- Would you like to go fishing with me?
- I though you are a vegetarian?
- Yes, but I can still go fishing, can't I?
- Yes, but what is the point of it?
- Come and see!
So we went to the seashore, sat into the boat and paddled few miles towards an island. When the boat stopped, he got his fishing rod and I saw there is no hook at the end.
- There is no hook on your rod! How will you catch any fish like this?
- Ah, this is not about catching a fish! It's about something else. We are sitting here in a very nice environment, look at the sky, the sea, the islands and of course with a good company. Btw. hooks are only for beginners, real man doesn't use hooks to catch a fish! Once I cough a fish like this!
- How?
- An another boat drove really fast beside mine and the waves has thrown a fish inside, but I threw it back.
- I still don't get it. Why do we need the fishing rods?
- What would the others say if we just sit in the boat in the middle of the sea without rods?

I would like to recommend some comic books, I have found them in the Oulu library.
osamu tezuka
buddha (vols 1-8)

Only problem that they are very addictive, they just read them selves.

Balance
Interesting while in meditation/yoga person can find balance in stillness, but on slackline the balance is in the movement.

Fireweed
Finally I was kindly showed what kind of herbs can be collected in Finland, especially in Oulu region. One of the most common herb is fireweed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epilobium_angustifolium and it tastes good as a salad and I also dried few for tea.

Here is a very nice hungarian song about an old lady who collects herbs. She collects herbs which makes you see the truth, makes old hearts young and refreshes the soul. Herbs are ready to pick!

1/2 Marathon
I have run the Terwa half marathon again in Oulu. The attitude was great again lots of people were cheering us. My plan was to take it easy and enjoy it and not to rush and try to get a better time. So I took a small walk at the drink stops and strech my legs and took a nap ;-) It worked almost well I enjoyed it except the last 2kms. My time was 2:05, I think those 5 minutes were worth not to feel bad afterwards.
I was a bit surprised because I trained on a route in the forest and 20kms weren't a problem, but running on the concrete roads make my legs hurt a lot. When I was biking home I saw the full marathon runners reaching their final stop and I felt great respect towards them. It made wonder how should I train to my first marathon? Currently it would be really problematic. Anyway big respect to the runners once more!

Pilgrimige to Kebnekaise
Why are people going to the mountains? In Europe some people can take it as an sport exercise or they just enjoy the scenery and the beauty of the nature. Even my father who is not religious at all, said that in mountains he can feel closer to God. For me it is like some good meditation, there is a huge space, strong light, cleanness and I am above all worldly things. I can breath freely, sometimes after a long pranayama practice in the city I can breath like that.
In Nepal hindus were going up to the mountains to some holy waterfall, probably to take some bath. Maybe they feel the same like everybody, but probably they explain it in a different way. Maybe they place some religious reason for that while europians just go to the top because it is cool and they just don't think about it.

Catching the soap
Once I bought a new soap in a kind of esoteric shop. It was written on it that it is hand made and it had a nice smell of lavender.
Next morning when I had a shower, when my whole body was wet, I closed the tap and tried to use the new soap, but it slipped out of my hands and fall down. OK, no problem. I tried to pick it up, but it always slipped out of my hands. I used many tricks like kicking it to the corner and trying to pick it up there, without any success. I tried with force, I even tried with a knife, I tried it gently with no success at all so I gave up.
I turned away, I left it on the floor and started to use my old shower gel and suddenly I felt that something gently moves on my feet. It was the new soap! Hm, that's strange. I tried to catch it again, but at first attempt it slipped out of my hands and we started our catching game again. After shorter time again I gave up and went back to the shower to use the shower gel again. After a while I felt again that something is moving up on my feet, at first a bit up then down and then more up and then down again. I put the shower gel back and just waited and tried not to think about the soap. After I was properly covered by soap it fell down and slipped to the corner and stayed there and I just finished my shower.
Nowadays my shower looks pretty strange, I go under the water after a while I close the tap and then I just wait. Some days the soap is so sensitive that even when I just thought about catching it, it fell down immediately. I think about what I should do next and so on, but never about the soap. But I have to tell you it always does its job gently, fast and properly.

Reason or intention?
As song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIBcarAwsjw) says "Give me a reason to love you". Is that the reason what is needed or is it the will to love? Is it the reason or is it the intention? Are we the puppets or are we the puppetmaster?
Does it depend on the situation?
If somebody wants to be angry he or she can surely find a reason to be angry. If somebody wants to be happy he or she can surely find a reason to be happy. If somebody wants to suffer then he or she can surely find a reason to suffer.
Of course this is just theory and the reality is something else.
For example there can be a strong reason to feel somehow, example the death of someone, or illness or hunger.
Or is it so that the intention meets the reason and both are needed?

Sun
The sun is shining more and more...
So we can stare at the sun...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-FqI4T8AgY&feature=related
How, oh how..
Are we off on a tangent again?
Oh, we say what we say,
And the poison is breaking our skin.
Blame, whats to blame?
Its an argument no one can win;
'Cause at best, we don't know,
And its wearing us thin.
And we stare at the sun,
But we never see anything there.
Just the glare has become
All that we'll ever see there.
And we stare at the sun,
But we never see anything there.
All the nothing's become
All we'll ever see there.
Caught, we are caught
And we are spun around on the truth.
Maybe we don't need to know
Any more than we have to?
The sky is always wondering,
"What are these arguments are about?"
You think we would notice our eyes are burning out.
We should have learned by now.
We stare at the sun (we stare at the sun)
But we never see anything there,
Just the glare has become (just the glare has become)
All that we'll ever see there.
Its all that we'll ever see there,
Its all that we'll ever see there..
And we stare at the sun...
So we can stare at the sun...
